SCR Medical Transportation
DRIVERS
SCR is a private carrier under contract with PACE to operate its Special Services program to provide paratransit service to the disabled and elderly.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS, CAREFULLY .
These requirements must be met by all Driver applicants:
1. Applicants must be 25 years of age or older and have a valid, current driver’s license from Illinois. (license must be held at least 5 years )
2. We give preference to applicants with at least one year of PROFESSIONAL driving experience.
3. VERY IMPORTANT: Applicants must have a good driving record and submit a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) MARKED “ COURT PURPOSE ” - no more than 30 days old. Applications will not be considered without an orginial MVR report. (MVR reports may be obtained from the Secretary of State’s Office, 99 th King Drive at a cost of $12.00) and provide proof of liability insurance. We are unable to consider your application if your MVR indicates you have more than one driving violation (including accidents) within a five year period. This is a PACE requirement for insurance purposes.
4. Applicants must have a verified negative pre-employment drug test before they can be assigned safety-sensitive job duties and will be required to undergo drug testing throughout their period of employment.
5. Applicants must pass a criminal background check; fingerprint check’ and IDOT physical examination. Street Knowledge test is given the same day the application for employment is completed. Test takes 45 min. to 1 hour.
6. Applicants may be assigned to be an extra board driver, with a morning, afternoon, split shift (2 – 4 hr. split) or evening shift that includes holidays and weekends.
7. Your application will not be considered if you have been convicted of a FELONY within the last five years – This is a PACE REQUIREMENT.
8. Applications are accepted Monday through Friday, 8:00 – 4:30!
